Meryl’s publicist told The Hollywood Reporter the couple has been apart for 6 years. Streep had been married to Gummer since 1978. They have four children together: daughters Mamie Gummer and Grace Gummer.
Streep’s name has been credited with 21 Academy Award nods, and she’s won three of them. She’s appeared in movies like “Kramer Vs Kramer”, “Sophie’s Choice”, and “The Iron Lady”, and more recently projects such as comedy Only Murders In The Building”, drama Let Them All talk”, and Netflix’s satire Don’t Look Up. Two wins have been hers.
Streep thanked Gummer in her Oscar speech for “The Iron Lady,” telling him this during their final tribute.
